BIOLOGICAL CONTROL
Selection of molecular markers associated with pathogenic variants (races) of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi, and design of specific primers for their identification by PCR. Study of the pathogenic and molecular diversity present in the populations of the pathogen, and their phylogenetic relationships. Identification of plant pathogenic fungal viruses: characterization of their genomic structure and analysis of their potential as biological control agents of their host fungi. Evaluation of resistance to fusarium blight in new carnation varieties.
