Deciphering the plant microbiome and its determinants and modifiers for use in disease control
- To decipher the xylem and rhizospheric microbiome in woody species of agricultural interest, mainly olive, almond and grapevine.
- To determine the potential of this microbiome in the control of diseases caused by vascular pathogens, such as Xylella fastidiosa and Verticilium dahliae.
- Study of the factors that modulate the structure of microbial communities residing in the xylem and rhizospheric microbiome.
- Analysis and characterization of the intestinal microbiome and its importance in metabolic diseases in humans, such as Obesity, Metabolic Syndrome and Celiac Disease.
