I International Emerging Crops Symposium – NutriCrop Network: Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Agricultural Innovation

The Spanish network NutriCrop (RED2022-134382-T), «Spanish network dedicated to study emergent crops towards diversifying our agricultural and food systems by introducing species of high nutritional value», will host its I International Emerging Crops Symposium.

This international event will gather researchers, professionals, and stakeholders to explore the potential of underutilized and emerging crops in transforming our agri-food systems. Discussions will focus on biodiversity, nutritional quality, sustainability, and the application of cutting-edge tools — including artificial intelligence — to accelerate research and innovation in the field.

NutriCrop is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation through the 2022 Research Networks Call (RED2022-134382-T), and brings together a wide network of institutions: Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Coordinator), Universidad de Sevilla, Instituto de la Grasa-CSIC, VALANSE Food – Instituto de Agroquímica y Tecnología de Alimentos-CSIC, Universidad de Murcia, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, ITACyL (Instituto Tecnológico Agrario de Castilla y León), CEBAS-CSIC, Centro de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas de Extremadura (CICYTEX), Instituto de Agricultura Sostenible-CSIC, and Universidad de Valladolid.
