- We are offering a short-term contract at the post-graduate level to carry out bioinformatic analyses of bacterial genomic sequences related to the European project BeXyl (Beyond Xylella; https://bexylproject.org).
- Work will be carried out at IAS-CSIC (Córdoba; https://www.ias.csic.es) and/or at CBGP (UPM-INIA / CSIC; https://www.cbgp.upm.es).
Objectives/Tasks of the research:
- Assembly and annotation of bacterial genomic sequences
- Comparative analysis of bacterial genomic sequences.
- Analysis of bacterial genomes, with special attention to characterizing evolutionary, biocontrol, pathogenicity, and plant defense aspects.
Candidate Profile/experience (Not all required):
Educational Background:
- BSc. or MSc or Engineering degree in fields related to Bioinformatics, Biology or Biotechnology
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate training, experience or ability to successfully carry out the above tasks under supervision.
Communication Skills:
- High level of proficiency in the English language, capable of producing scientific reports and presenting findings at an international level.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary research team.
